During our stay in Savusavu, Fiji, our girls have had the opportunity to volunteer with the area's only veterinary clinic, Animals Fiji. Jessica and Emma accompanied Animals Fiji during one of their outreach visits to a remote village and saw, first hand, the huge impact Animals Fiji creates.
The outreach program allows villagers to bring their pets and livestock to a mobile clinic to consult with a veterinarian or have their pets spayed or neutered. Without Animals Fiji outreach programs, villages would be faced to deal with the pet overpopulation crisis alone.
In addition to the outreach programs, Animals Fiji is the only veterinary clinic offering services in the Western and Northern Divisions, servicing a population of over 600,000 people.
Jessica and Emma have established the "Friends of Animals Fiji" fund to help cover costs incurred by offering veterinary services, with 100% of the proceeds going directly to Animals Fiji. Jessica and Emma want to ensure that Animals Fiji can continue their amazing work in the outlying villages of Fiji.
