Hey Terrapin! Its FAMILY CIRCUS! We were excited to read about your soon to be Puddle Jump. We still remember it fondly and love thinking of all the adventures you will have. Are you going through the whole Pacific this year? Do you have a plan for the off season? Let us know if we can help you with anything or make any suggestions! You wont regret it! We are back on land after our two year stint and are back in to the groove here. Its all going well but its not quite the same. I hope you enjoy every second out there! Chris Tzortzis and the FAMILY CIRCUS crew!
Terrapin! Not sure if this is the right place to send you a message but we wanted to say hello and tell you that we miss Terrapin! Hope all is well and the winds are fair. We are in San Blas and getting ready to head a little farter north. We would love to know your exact position and daily mileage progress. Take care and we are following. Bret and Marne
Concerning your solar charge controller, check for a voltage drop between your battery and charge controller. If there is a long cable run, you may need heavier gauge wire. Note, the voltage drop would only be dectable when the charger is actually charging the battery (during a sunny day). Just check the voltage at the battery terminals, and then check it at the controller. Also, my charge controller has an voltage offset adjustment. In order to fix he proble we were having, I should simply adjusted this until it matched what I was seeing at the battery. In my case, the offset was - .8 volts! Make sure you do this when the charger is at maximum output.
Happy Easter Nance's! Wish we were hiding eggs with you this year. Enjoying the blog. We have cabin fever as bad as you do, but at least our cabin is stable. Dad goes back to the doctor Tuesday morning to get the catheter out, hoping like hell that things start working on their own after that. He can't do anything or go anywhere with that damn thing, it's been fabulous. Harrison is healing up nicely, hope to get biopsy results tomorrow. Lots of love, Mom & Dad.
I wish this thing showed a time stamp so we would know when it was.
ReplyDeleteWhat up Nances? I was just thinking about you guys, hope all is Awesome!
ReplyDeleteThis looks pretty good, although I miss the lines it shows the time & date--bueno!
